HELP please! (OOS)

I really loved Indiana University- Bloomington when I was there a few months ago, and was accepted in early November. I would love to go there, I’m just not sure of how it is viewed academically across the country. Is it viewed as a good school? How do employers look at it? How do the academics seem compared to other schools? I would be majoring in the Media School and minoring in Kelley… thanks!

Not too sure about the other schools at IU, but from my research the Kelley School of Business is widely recognized as one of the top undergraduate business schools in the country and was in the top ten in both US News and Bloomberg Businessweek this past year.

what are your other choices? Price tag on each school?

@nico52 PSU, IU and UDel… and price is not a factor but they’re all about $40K

I would say to knock UDel out of the equation and focus on IU and PSU. Overall, it seems like they’re pretty similar schools in terms of reputation. PSU is ranked higher on US News but IU has a way better business program. Go where you feel most comfortable.

PSU (I am an alum) and IU are comparable in many ways. Delaware is not in their class.

It depends on what other schools you are comparing to.
IU academically is pretty good, many great professors but not so great when it comes to reputation.
(For non Kelley student,PSU got a better reputation overall)
A degree from IU is not very impressive, especially outside of the Midwest, where east coast schools and maybe a few on the west coast are highly favored.
On the other hand, remember this, a minor from Kelley does not have the same value as a Kelley business degree. You need to work your ass off to get into Kelley but when it comes to minor, there is no any admission process for it.
Go to PSU if you’re only going to minor in Kelley
