Help Please! Should transfer students take SAT again? I'm trying to transfer to UPENN

Okay so here's my dilemma. While in high school I took SAT twice the I ended up making (CR:530, M:720, W:480) At the moment I didn't particularly care about the writing section because the school I was thinking of disregarded the writing section. I was offered full ride scholarship from that school so I decided on going there. But I have always wanted to go to UPENN and now I'm thinking about transferring there. I have been practicing many SAT tests and have consistently been getting about (CR: 650-700, M:750-800, W: 700-750). I just registered for the January SAT but I don't know if the admission committee will consider my new scores since I'm already in college?

most schools only consider your SAT’s if you have less than 30 completed college credits. You need to see what it says on the transfer app for the school you are interested in.

I’m currently a freshmen and last semester I took 15 credits and this semester I have registered for 20. I also have few AP credits so more than likely I’ll end up with more than 30 hours.
Also on the UPENN’s website it said that they do consider high school credentials along with SAT/ACT when looking at transfer applicants.
Thank you for your feedback.

If you completed one year of college, most university do not require the SAT/ACT. If your case is the same as mine and your not a great standardize test taker, wait a year or two and it becomes much easier. You might want to look at UPENN transfer form again because I’m pretty sure that after at the very least two years, SAT/ACT scores are optional.

Yes I am not so good with tests but unfortunately this is what the website says
“Applicants are required to submit the results of the College Board SAT Reasoning Test. Results of the American College Testing Program (ACT) are also acceptable. The SAT Subject Tests are not required. Candidates whose native language is not English should also submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).”, UPENN
[Penn Admissions: Transfer Eligibility and Requirements](http://www.admissions.upenn.edu/applying/eligibility.php)

Also do you think that if I apply now and get rejected then would it reduce my chances of getting in next year?

I don’t know about that. But this form doesn’t specifically say a year or two. You should call them up and see if you transfer after two years if they still need the tests.

Penn is clear on their website that transfers must submit SAT or ACT, this is for all transfers.

Many of the selective schools require SAT or ACT scores for all transfer applicants.

Yes that’s what I was thinking too. Thank you very much for your help guys.
