Help Please! Tisch Audtions

Hey, I was wondering if someone that wants to audition for Tisch has a higher chance of getting in if they have a good GPA, SAT scores, and have had theater experience?

Does it make any difference, or does it matter?

You need a good GPA and SAT scores to get in. It isnt just to help. You are still applying to NYU, and you need to have NYU-level grades and scores to get in. Theater experience would surely be to your advantage.

Honestly, previous experience matters very little.
I met someone who got kicked out of his high school drama program.
Just have a good audition.
I JUST had mine so you can message me with any questions you have about it.

Hey thanks, at the auditions do they make you wear workout type clothes so you can move around? Or do you have to wear professional clothes like a regular audition? Also, what takes place at the auditions?

You can find a lot of specific information about Tisch auditions on the Theater and Musical Theater forums here at CC

Good luck!

Sora, you wear movement clothes. You can change into professional clothes if you want for your singing and acting, but most people don’t.
They really don’t care.

You can change clothes, though, if you feel more comfortable in regular clothes instead of a leotard. I know most of the girls that auditioned on my day changed. But honestly, whatever you feel most comfortable in and flatters you best should be your choice. NYU doesn’t care. :)
