Help! Please!

I've been going to challenging SAT prep courses for over 8 months and I'm even still bombing SAT practice tests. The last I took was a week ago and I got a 1450. I'm about to give up overall on taking the SAT because I'm not seeing an improvement.

I suffer from severe anxiety and I'm on medications for it. I know that's not a legit excuse but I don't see any other way out of the SAT. I've been studying like crazy and I've been going through Kaplan and Princeton Review on my own as well. I feel like crap and I'm just horrible at taking tests overall. I get nervous and self-sabotage myself. And, I always choose the second best answer....I'm really stressed.....any suggestions? thoughts?

Telling yourself that you’re a bad test taker and that you have bad luck makes both of those things come true. There’s no magic key to the SAT that some people just don’t have; use the Blue Book and you will improve. If you’re that low you need first hand experience with SAT questions that only the BB can provide.

Blue Book? I’ve taken soooooo many SAT practice tests though! I just don’t know what to do anymore. My scores suck and I haven’t improved since January.

First step, remain calm.

I know how it feels to score lowly, ive been there.

on my PSAT i scored a 1450 and i thought it was a joke.

I studied only using the official collegeboard blue book for my first time in March 2011, and went up 150 points. Its not enough so ive been studying harder.

I got these books as recommended by CC.

Grubers Math Workbook for Math: it teaches you how to do each type of SAT math problem in many different ways.

Barrons 2400 for W + CR (for Writing, firstly read silverturtle’s guide and understand all your grammar rules, thoroughly)

Do Math 1 day, and then do W or CR another.

Mon-thurs

Mon: Math
Tues: W
Wed: CR
Thursday: M+CR+W
Friday: take a practice test from the BB

Go over incorrect answers and make sure you understand why you got the answer wrong.

Chill and relax SAT isn’t the end of the world

Colleges won’t accept me if I have a bad SAT score. Think about it…

^how much do you miss on each section average?

500 on each section respectively. I’ve been practicing every day via Princeton Review and I’ve been going over the wrong choices…I feel like I’ve plateaued.
