Help Please!

Hi everyone, I have been admitted to the following undergrad schools and I have no clue which one to choose as they are all ranked among top25 in the world according to US NEWS or highly regarded domestically (I know ranking shouldn't be weighed to much, but as I am not familiar with those school, then I think Rankings are the best bet, at least they are made by professional educators.)

UMICH-Ann Arbor(Actuarial Science)
U Toronto (Honors BSc in Actuarial Science)
Mcgill (Joint Honors in Finance and Economics)
Australian National University(Actuarial Science and Finance)
Vanderbilt University(Economics)
UNC-CHAPEL HILL(mathematical decision science)

Please compare each schools in terms of potential job opportunities, climate, reputation and etc. Opinions plz. Like where you would go if you were in my situation.
P.S I really dont care where to work after graduation. US, Canada, Australia all sound legit to me.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Are you a US student, or an international? If you are an international, Australia and Canada are better bets than the US because it is much easier to get work visas after graduation.

I am actually international student. But in terms of school, which one would edge the rest? Or which one would give you more opportunities worldwide? (Reputation, in a sense…)

You need to ask working actuaries about that. Start with people in your home country. You need to attend a program that will get you a job in your own country if you can’t find one elsewhere.

Thanks for the reply, but could anyone compare the schools please?

Most of the people in this forum aren’t familiar with all of these schools. I’d suggest that you re-post this in the Parents Forum. Change the title to something like “Actuarial Science - US, Canada, Australia?” to catch the attention of people who know about this field of study, and who may be able to advise you about the differences between the schools.

Wishing you all the best!

Excuse me, but you applied to these schools without investigating their programs and prestige beforehand?

Sigh.

I dont like these threads at all. :-(
