which school/s did u apply????
i think your GPA is great tho. i would say "d," assuming you are applying to H&SS/MCS/IS. i would say "c" for Tepper, since its bit competitive.

if u apply to SCS, the chance would be (D). For other schools, u got at least 85%+ chance. I got into the IS program with 2020 SATI and not so outstanding SATIIs

Sorry, I just recently decided to apply to CMU, so I'm unfamiliar with most of the programs. Can you tell me what all the acronyms stand for?

SCS = School of Computer Science (hardest to get into)
CIT = Carnegie Institute of Technology (Engineering)
Tepper = Business school
HSS = Humanities and Social Sciences
CFA = College of Fine Arts

Thanks walden. I'll be applying to CIT or HSS then, since I'm planning to major in Biochemistry/Biomedical Engineering.

D or above for any of the CMU schools. Check out my post found in the top of the CMU forum called, "Overview of our visit to CMU." It lists the average SATs by school that was given to me by the CMU Admission's officer.

Goldfish:

Remember that at CMU you cannot only major in Biomedical engineering, you MUST double major biomedical engineering with one of the core engineering majors. Check the CMU site for more info.

Everyone always forgets mcs!!! mellon college of science offers a biochemistry major. no strings attached

biochemistry is far from biomedical engineering.

err.. yeah? so?
