I am currently a freshman at a top 15 LAC, and I am seriously considering transferring. I would like to attend a LAC that has easy access to a city (unlike my current school); I would also prefer a school where drinking is not the dominant social activity (which it is at my current school). Staying pretty close to home (Northern NJ) is pretty important to me, so right now I am only looking at schools in NJ, PA, and CT. My gpa last semester was a 3.6. The schools I am thinking of applying to are: Drew University, Lafayette, Franklin and Marshall, and Muhlenburg. I am thinking of majoring in English, with a minor/concentration in creative writing; my current school (Hamilton) is pretty strong in writing, so I am wondering how these other schools compare. I would really appreciate any advice, comments, suggestions of other schools I should be looking at...thanks!

where are you right now?

I'm at Hamilton College.

bump......

i just transferred to lafayette this semester from villanova and my roomate here tranferred in form hamilton. Id say lafayette is an amazin college but its not really easy to get to a city unless uhave a car and theirs a pretty big party scene but u could easily avoid it.
