Help please

My question is whether you can succeed without the blue book, because i kinda live in narnia (outside us) and it is is impossible to find it, but i have some other books though... If yes which other book practice tests do you think are nearest to college board's ones? My goal is to improve mostly CR. Which book do you suggest for improving CR scores?

lots of past SAT exams on the internet, look around. And Eric Meltzer’s Critical Reader is pretty helpful, but for me I found doing past exams the most helpful. Also Direct hits/ essential xxx vocab is great too.

thank you  i will search :)

Blue book is well worth the hassle of finding a copy.

yes,

the blue book is priceless…

i think even if it was slightly out of my reach, I would even pay a 100+ bucks for a copy…

the practice inside of it is irreplaceable as the whole book was written by CB

Assuming you mean the Official College Board’s SAT Study Guide, you can find it on their store website. Here’s the link: <a href=“CollegeBoard Bestsellers”>CollegeBoard Bestsellers;

They ship internationally, though it’s really expensive altogether. More like around $150 than $100. Amazon and eBay has it too though, a LOT less pricey. Just search it up on their websites. :)

Oh and also, Barron’s has a specific SAT Critical Reading workbook. It’s red, and I think it’s pretty useful. You can get that on Amazon too, if you’d like.

Amazon won’t ship to my country, and neither do some ebay sellers… however i’ll keep trying… Don’t you think that past exam papers help? And luckyly i have the barron’s book, i got it from a friend :)

Casey, past versions of tests are more than helpful, and are extremely beneficial in studying. The blue book is similar, as it has 10 tests. You can, however, order the SAT Online Course which provides 10 practice tests, similar to that of the blue book, but not the same. In review, any type of practice test is beneficial in studying, the blue book’s practice tests are no different than those you can find on the SAT Online Course. Check out SAT Skills Insight also, for extra practice.

You can try to find an eBay seller of the BB if you really want it, or you can find online e-books or pdf versions that are available for sale. As a popular book, I am sure that you can find it digitally.

Thank-you very much to all of you… i hope i will do well :)

Do these first, and then get the blue book if you want more practice:

[Striped by HTML5 UP](http://officialsatexams.com/exams.html)

This site has the first six exams from the Online Course, plus a few more that College Board has released.

Thank-you. I hadn’t found that site before :)

I am using gruber’s for the math, direct hits for the cR and barron for writing. For practice there are lots of websites that provide previous SAT Exams.

You can find the international and US versions

Thank-you, but are internationals very different from US?

Kaplan has the whole math section for the blue book with worked out explanations on their website. However, you don’t need the book to succeed I would suggest going to your local library, or using internet resources. The college board has many problems and practice test on their site, besides that know that most of the stuff you should already know you are just using it ina different way.

^Yes, per administration International Tests are different to prevent cheating, as people take the tests in different time zones. However, the content and tested questions reflect the same difficulty level.

thank you tuokeke… i am definitely using internet resources.
Thanks Peter AP  Yeah i should have figured out because i am taking the test earlier than US students :P
