Transfer question please
Good day. I am an international student from Ghana (a small West African Country), studying at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I am an economics major, hoping to transfer to another institution. I was wondering if I wanted to the following colleges, will a 3.5 grade point average be adequate for me to hopefully be admitted. These are the following schools:

University of Texas

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

University of Virginia-Charlottesville

University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign

University of Notre Dame

University of Wisconsin-Madison

University of Washington

University of California-Berkeley

Stanford University

Georgetown University

Any Ivy League Institution

Navy, Army, or Air Force.

College of William and Mary

UCLA

Indiana University

University of North Carolina

Michigan State University

Thank you very much.

i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WHETHER IF A 3.5 GPA IS ADEQUATE OR NOT FOR A TRANSFER TO THESE INSTITUTIONS. IF NOT, THEN WHAT IS ADEQUATE FOR A TRANSFER TO THESE COLLEGES. MY REASON FOR TRANSFER WOULD BE TO GO TO A MORE INTELLECTUALLY-FRIENDLY CAMPUS AND A CAMPUS WITH MORE DIVERSITY IN A STUDENT BODY. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS AND OFFER ANY POSSIBLE SUGGESTIONS

first of all u should have told us what are u a freshman, sophomore or what... second u know it very well that GPA is not the only factor. Ur GPA is not bad but also is not enough to determine ur possibility of acceptance. Yo many of these institution it is a very good GPA but in some others like Stanford or the ivies ur quite below the average. If u are still in the freshman year i think you should submitt a good SAT (reasoning) too. Also they give importance to ECA so do as many ECA as u can till the day of the application at this universities (but i think u know it better than i do). Dont forgett good recomendation, but i would stress on the ECA once again

I am a sophomore, and these are my credentials for extracurricular activities: Treasurer for the International Student Association, Job in the Student Union, Intramural Soccer, Club Soccer Participant, member of the International Business Club.

well ur ECA are are quite well, but keep going on doing them. try to do even something else also to enlarge the names of ur ECA and most important of all try to win an award (an important one if possible). Considering that u are a sophomore i think they will consider sat but wont have much influence on them
