Help, Please

Hello. I am a white male from Long Island, NY. I am currently applying to 15+ schools…

Prior to stats, I feel as though it goes as such

Heavy Reaches: Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, UChicago, Columbia
Reaches: Cornell, Brown, Northwestern, Georgetown, UPenn, Johns Hopkins
Moderately on Target: UCB, NYU, American U
Safe: Stony Brook U, Fordham, Boston U

Of course, I only go by what I have seen and read, so for some kids they have 2400s and don’t get in and others they have 1800s and get in, so I leave you with that…

Thank you in advance to all you geniuses out there!

I feel you are missing a whole category of schools. You go from reach to safe with not much in between. How about BC, Wake, Colgate, Richmond, Tulane, Michigan

Thank you, sir/madame. I also feel the same way, I just don’t know what middle schools I am looking for. Will definitely keep those in mind… Great help!

If you are looking at your high reaches:
You need to highlight some of your EC’s with awards and achievements. Reaching nationals for DECA is good. Doing thousands of hours of community service won’t mean much to HPY as technically anyone can do it. (unless you got Eagle Scout or something). Any top academic applicant has NHS and Spanish honors society so not sure if it is worth putting it in there.
Your leadership is good, Class President always good to have (for HPY, perhaps it won’t help much)
Also it wouldn’t hurt to get your SAT/ACT score up and some of ur SAT II scores up. They are a bit low for the top schools. If you get those up then you can be more of a competitive applicant.

For your safeties and matches, I think you are good. Just try to get your SAT/ACT up because those schools are more quantitative and a higher SAT/GPA will make it easy for you to get accepted.

As always, make your essays as good as possible because they can distinguish you.

Thank you! I will keep this all in mind.
