Okay so when I graduate from high school I’m going to have an associates degree of science in biology so when I go to the university I’ll just need two years to get a bachelor degree in nursing, right? But I am planning on also getting an Associate degree in criminal justice after I get my bachelor degree for a total of 4 yrs in college. Is that possible? Please help me I really need to know thanks!
I think the best way to make your decision is,to compare, the two programs looking for overlaps. For example, both programs require basic biology. You satisfied that credit at the CC, but can you transfer it as credit for nursing and under what circumstances. Are there requirements in either major that can be deferred until you start the, nursing degree Essentially, then I, am suggesting making a,chart,of all requirements to,determine, which, if any are already satisfied and also looking at the requirements of nursing and criminal justice to see if any requirements overlap and need to be taken only once You are unlikely to get a waiver, but you may find some, hours to spend,on,other interests, After you identify overlaps, look,at how much classwork and studying will be required and how
,much time will be needed and is that extra time and money manageable and reasonable. . Finally after reviewing the three programs and the time commitment and if it were me, I would consider getting masters degree.
If you are investing time and money anyway, I would throw in a bit more time and money to earn a,graduate degree rather than end up with two associate degrees. I don’t understand how a degree in criminal justice fits into your, career goals.
You need to discuss your course plans with the nursing advisor to see if you can get a nursing degree in only 2 years. I also have no idea why you would want another associates degree. For people not intending to get a four year degree, an associates can be worthwhile but I can’t see what the value would be after you already have graduated from a four year college.
You could consider getting a minor in criminal justice if that exists at your college.
Oh okay thanks alot for both of your help, your right I should just probably go for a masters instead of the associates degree in criminal justice
