I recently applied to the University of Michigan, along with my twin.

I just wanted to know the implications of both of us applying if…

I have a 31 ACT, along with a 3.87 GPA with really solid extra Curriculars. I also took 4 years of Spanish had an upward grade trend and I am taking AP calculus.

She has a 32 ACT and a 3.73 GPA. Only took two years of Spanish in school. Other two years online. She had straight As and one B through tenth grade. However had a bad junior year. She also has great Extras

Me: 54/715
Her 105/715

I hope we both get in!!!, however I want to know if her applying has any implications on my app.

You both sound like good candidates, especially if in-state. Most universities give preference if a sibling is attending.

I have read here that there is preference given for siblings. However, the only two sets of twins I know to apply had the same results: one got in and the other didn’t. So I’m not sure how accurate that is. I know the academic specifics for one set, and they were fairly similar, but I don’t know about the other.
