help please!!!

<p>my school doesnt weight grades, but i think my cumulative gpa is like a 3.7 or 3.8. ill just show my grades.
10th grade
honors english - B
honors history - A
AP Bio - A
AP Envi Sci - A
Math - A
Spanish 3 - A</p>

<p>11th grade

<p>AP scores - bio 5, envi sci 5, psych 5, us history 4, chem 3</p>

<p>honors society, key club, lots of volunteeer work at elementary schools, 2 different hospitals, summer school at UC berkeley this summer</p>

<p>what are my chances at U Chicago or Northwestern ( i live in washington state right now) ??

<p>boring, generic ECs. but since you are a rising senior there's nothing you can do about that. same thing with GPA. 3.75 is pretty bad for uchicago. your 2080 is unimpressive as well. i say right now you are a reject. but if you can pull that sat up to 2250, then you have a decent shot</p>

<p>oh, that's helpful, firefox, considering that I was an admit to Chicago with lower GPA/SATs.</p>

<p>Chicago and NU are opposite schools in many respects. Do research on both schools (visits, their websites, or even on these boards) before you apply to both. I can guarantee you that you'll like one more than the other, and the other you'll dislike enough as to put it towards the bottom of your list if not reject it outright.</p>

<p>If you have an obsession with the city of Chicago and are looking for safeties, check out DePaul and Loyola. Both are in sweet neighborhoods.</p>
