Ok I keep hearing this AP Calculus AB and BC thing. I'm in honors pre-calculus this year (junoir) and will be taking AP Calculus next year. My school recently did some changes in the classes they offered and as opposed to last year's curriculum guide where it just said "AP Calculus", it now says "AP Calculus AB".
So my question is this: what is the difference between AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC? somebody please give me a good explanation

I believed AP Calc AB is something like the first half of AP Calc BC, which people in honors pre-calc would take.

AB is the equivalent of Calc I/equivalent at colleges (1 semester), while BC is roughly the equivalent of both Calc I and Calc II (2 semesters).

Your school may have changed the official title of it to make it more clear what students were taking to college adcoms, as AB and BC are two separate AP exams.

thanks --

At my school I'll be taking AB and BC senior year(block schedule)
