help please

i don't feel like typing up a whole resume thing... but i'll quickly say a few facts
1 in class
4.363 after junior year
debate for four years
captain of debate
extremely competitive nationally (one of the top 5 junior teams this year) winner of several awards
president of the french club

all the other good stuff (160 hours of community service through same org., about 220 total, tutoring after school, senior adviser, several other awards etc. etc.)

ACT-32 (retaking)

SATW-710
SATCR-600 (ouch i know, i'm retaking it in october)
SATM-720

does being one in class help a student's chances of getting in that much?
and what do my chances look like?

I’d say your chances look pretty good. What school are you applying to? What major? Do your EC’s line up with your interests, or are you simply banking on extensive knowledge of African Public Health assistance for International Relations?

which school?

sfs
…

hmmm, it seems odd then, that you don’t demonstrate a great deal of foreign policy involvement. French club definitely, and debate I suppose could work, but overall, keep in mind SFS is very selective. You might want to improve your standardized test scores, and find some other way to demonstrate foreign policy interest

Georgetown only considers CR and Math scores, as I’m sure you know, so def boost up those scores and the rest focus on your essays…
