I have never taken the ACT before, and I signed up for it in April but decided I wasn't ready for it. I thought that it would be easy switching my registration from April to June... so easy that I forgot to do it. I know there is a way to "walk-in" for an SAT registration... is there any way I will be able to take my ACT by "walking-in," or is it a completely different process?

Thank you so much

No problem. Good luck!

Do you absolutely have to take it now? I'd wait until October because standby testing is pretty expensive and there is no gaurantee that you will get to test.

When you say "switch my registration from April to June" are you thinking that you won't have to pay again, that you can simply change it? I think that can't happen especially since you missed the test.

What you want to do is not standby testing, it is a test date change on the day of the test. There are fees but it is a lot cheaper than standby testing and you get seated before standby testers if space at the test center is limited.

You don't fill out a registration folder, you take your April admission ticket with you. Go to the same test center if they are doing the June test there--if you have to go to a different test center, it will cost more.

The only problem with changing on the day of the test is that I am not scheduled to test on June 14... any suggestions for that issue?

And unfortunately, for recruiting purposes, I have no choice but to take the June ACT. I really screwed this one up badly. :(
