help please!!

<p>so i'm trying to figure out my schedule, and when i search for classes on the online schedule of classes, none of the names of the classes match exactly the class i'm looking for. for example, is BIOLOGY 001B the same as BIOLOGY 1B P 001 LEC? also, is CHEM 001A the same as Chemistry 1A 001 Lec? its frustrating because its not listed exactly the same</p>

under the schedule of classes theres no lab for biology 1b 001 listed, while im pretty sure there is for biology 1a 001? what does this mean? please im so confused!</p>

<p>1) chem 001a = chem 1a. the 001 after chem 1a means this is lecture 1 (if there are more lectures, either at different times or by a different professor, it’d be 002, etc)
2) There’s lab for bio 1b, but unlike 1a, it’s not a separate class. i’d suggest you not search for specific classes. just find the major and only specify it to something like lower/upper div.</p>
