So, recently I have gotten back a horrible test score (51.3%), and if I worked my butt off I could probably get a C+ at best. The only course of action I have right now is to drop the course to not affect my GPA so badly. However, it probably looks bad to colleges to not take physics, right? BTW I am a junior.
We are in E&M now, but unfortunately, I have already gotten a C in mechanics. There is, however, the option of erasing the record of having taken either Physics APC courses.

My career goal is to be a neuroscientist (i.e. major in neuroscience in college). I want to go to LACs, and possibly some of the UCs (but those with more access to professors, such as UCSD or UC Santa Cruz), and getting the D or possibly C will probably kill my chances there. However, I read quotes similar to this one:
College admission is never just about
the GPA. A transcript with physics is
better than one without it.
Vikki Otero, Senior Assistant Director,
University of Colorado Admissions Office
and it seems pretty necessary.

Is it possible to get credit for an online physics course? I mean, I probably could do community college physics, but that is a lot less convenient for me.
