Help! Post-deadline-crisis!

So, the deadlines of the colleges to which I applied have passed, but a couple days ago I realized that there are a few mistakes on the parents' info page of my Common App (so, yes, all of my colleges will see them!) I put down the wrong professions and employers for both my parents.

At this point, I don't think that I can contact my colleges to tell them that I have to fix my app. I am waiting for them to see the discrepancy between my admission app and my financial aid forms. Then they will contact me.

But then what? Is this a serious problem, or will they even notice the difference between my financial aid and my Common app (the colleges that I applied to are swarming with applicants, so possibly not?), or is my admission going to be impacted in the process? I can't imagine why my acceptance would be affected, but if it will, please tell me.

Tell me what to do with this problem! I would greatly appreciate it.

Just fax/mail/e-mail them a short, nice letter explaining that somewhere in the midst of checking over and proofreading your application, this error was somehow missed, you're sorry for the confusion and wanted to clarify the mistake, something like that.

I don't see why it would be a problem! I didn't know how to re-edit my essay for the common app because it wouldn't let me edit the application because I'd submitted it to schools already... I called the Admissions Offices and they said just mail a hard copy with a letter.

I know this is different, but it's not a big mistake, better to get it cleared up.

PS, just a side note, the parents' information on Common App is optional, so I just wonder how much weight they give that information any ways...

but like ^ posted, it won't hurt to send that letter!

good luck!
