I unfortunately didn’t do as well as I had intended, 29 C (29 E, 31 R, 29 M, 26 S). The best part out of my ACT was my essay (10). So I assume my essay score is sufficient to never take it again. I need advice on how to raise my science score significantly and then just increase a point or two in each other section. Thank you!
If you just need to focus on science, it’d check out “For the Love of ACT Science”. They break down science question types and have practice questions associated with them plus full science section tests. After you go through that book, practice just the science section from practice tests (there are many online) and make sure you understand WHY you’re getting the questions wrong. Is it time? Understanding? Lack of exposure? Identify your weakness and work to improve it.
Also, many have said to read more science articles to be familiar with terms, but personally I didn’t find that useful. What really helped me was practicing a lot. And know that the answers are all on the pages. Finally, be able to recognize trends. There are many questions based on trends. For charts and graphs, I usually jot down some notes on the trends so when the question asks for it, I can easily reference that.
