Help! Problem with common app!

I guess i didn't read the directions close enough ( although i don't remember reading this) but i wasn't aware that once you have submitted your common app to one school it becomes " locked" and you cannot make corrections to it. I submitted my common application to a local school that i received a " priority application" too. It was due earlier then my other schools, and these are the schools that i really want to attend. I applied to this school as a finical safety because it was free for my to apply to. But i sent my essay in, but since then my English teacher gave me my essays back, and i need to make corrections to them ( not grammar mistakes but she thinks i need to change some of the stuff i wrote about so its big changes, like taking out and writing new paragraphs) Does anyone know what i can do? Is there a way to unlock my application to make changes? Or can i make a new account and redo my application? i really don't want to send these essays to my top schools!.

Thanks

I haven’t done it myself, but it is possible. From their FAQ:

I want to create another version of my application.

Check out the “Application Versions” section of the Instruction page in the online application. Understand that you cannot resubmit an application to the same school.

All data will be transferred from the original version to the alternate and it is all editable. However, any uploads you’ve done (personal essay or additional information) will not be transferred. Please upload these into any alternate version of the application you have created.

Go to Instructions -> Application Versions.
