HELP- Proper method of declining admission.

I have been accepted for the fall 2006 semester but would like to decline the offer (going to U Texas Austin)

In their admissions package which they sent me, they did not mention any specific way of declining admission, or a reply form.

Can someone please help me?

Do I send an email to the admissions office or write them a letter or what/

Thanks.

Sending a letter is always a nice idea. If there's a particular reason (e.g. finances) for your declining their offer, you may want to discuss it with them before declining. Sometimes schools surprise you and are able to come up with some funding to make their school more affordable. An e-mail would be another way you could notify them about your decision.

There's a link in your myNEU portal where you can decline admission.

Thanks, somagreen. I was going crazy thinking that I lost the form that has like a checkbox or whatever to say you're not attending, haha.

Honestly, Northeastern's so beaurocratic I wouldn't worry too much about it. You send the myneu thing, great, but otherwise if you don't deposit they know... Nice thought though.
