ok so I'm still a little confused?

1) If I took foreign lang. in HS, I just check the box without inputting any grades?

2) If I took both semester and quarter units concurrently, do I just fill them out for the GPA as SEM and QUART or do I convert it to one?

3) So I don't add my planned courses to the gpa?

THANKS! I'D LOVE HELP on this!

1) yes

2) you might want to ask a UCB rep on this one...

3) of course. how are you going to add it to your GPA? unless you mean in the summary, then that is a different story.

okay, my turn -

For one of my major prereqs (US History), I was told I could just transfer my AP exam score to fulfill it. Where do I note that? Where do I note other AP exam scores too because what it seems like - you only state AP exam scores for languages?

are you sure we're not supposed to input grades? The rep i talked to told me to put my grades from high school in the box and to list the school as my high school. Notice in the box it says : LOTE - HS Course, College Course, AP Exam. Doesn't this mean that the space is for the name of a high school course, college course, or the name of the AP exam we took?

I would like to first note that the My UCB App is extremely confusing. With that being said, there is a huge possibility that I might be wrong.

But it doesnt make sense that we have to enter in our HS grade considering that UC's supposedly dont look at your high school grades whatsoever in terms of transfer. so why would they require us to put it in? it's on our community college transcripts which they supposedly check once they admit us, right?

if you put in your grades then they know that you had grades of C or higher. They don't take the grades into account for your decision. They just want to see that the grades were high enough to meet the IGETC requirement.

So, exactly, how would we put in the HS grades for foreign lang.? the dept? units? or do we just put the HS?

I inputed my high school, the class i took, and the grades for each. I think that is what they want.

Since one year of spanish was 2 semesters for me i put my grades as "B/C+" and labeled the course name as Spanish1/2. that was what the admission officer told me to do.
