-applying to school of comm for BU, UW, UT-austin, UIUC, UF, UMiami, Pepperdine, American

-assume i have decent recs (plain; not outstanding, not terrible) and above average ecs

so here are my questions:
1. what are my chances getting into those schools
2. for which schools is it better to apply directly to the school of communication/journalism school rather than apply to CAS or something and then applying to the COM school after freshman/soph year?
3. anyone have any safety school suggestions?

help me please based on the above info!! (if you want more info on ecs or something PM me)
