Help quickly NYU vs. USC

Alright I just got into the Tisch film program off of the waitlist and they said they need an answer in the next day or two.

As of now I sent in my deposit for USC, except I was not admitted to their film program and was going to study creative writing there, another one of my interests and then transfer my junior year into film if I wanted to. A little more flexibilty at USc.

To be honest here I would probably rather go to USC over NYU if it was just the general school but it is hard to turn down Tisch for the USC creative writing program, which seems to barely exist. I am definitely open to NYU I just never got to visit it and never learned enough about it and I'm really stuck now.

I know they are both good schools and I know a lot of this decision is a question of what I want to study but I would like some opinions about the schools in general as well as anything anyone would like to add (like if anyone knows more about Tisch film or USC creative writing). I appreciate it alot

Find out the transfer rate into the USC film school. If its good, then go to USC. If not, then go to NYU.

USC for film.

i just reread your comment, and realized that you didn't get accepted to usc for film.
go for nyu. usc's creative program isn't exactly their strong point.

I'm an 'SC alum, but I'd say go for NYU. I knew a LOT of people who came to USC undeclared because they got into the University but not into the film school, and kept reapplying to the film school. I don't know any of them who actually got in, they all ended up having to choose other majors. Maybe I just knew a bunch of untalented people, but that's just my limited experience with this situation. As great as USC is, being able to study what you want is even better.

Good luck.
