<p>Hey guys,
I'm currently attending the University of Texas, and want to transfer to Univ. of virginia. I've got about a 3.8-3.9 in biology, am in a lot of science groups, and will be doing research (hopefully) next semester. My high school grades were pretty good (4.8) but my sat's need to be better, so ill probably retake them. Anyways, what do you think my chances are? Please, I'm trying to figure out where to apply to.
Thanks</p>
<p>If I remember correctly, I don't think UVa really cares as much about your SATs when you're transferring from another college. I think what really matters are your grades at the school you're in now, and you seem to have a pretty good GPA. That said, I think you have a good chance at getting into UVa. Just to be sure, you should call the UVa Admissions office (and please tell me if the receptionist is truculent w/ you. I'll seriously complain to the Admissions Office about her.)</p>
<p>Globalist, dont complain about her. She may be a little on edge, but I can understand why. Do you know how many annoying calls she must get from kids asking "did i get in?"</p>
<p>You're so nice. Hey, I'm just looking out for you guys.</p>
