Good evening everyone, I’m a Computer Science major that has been attending Long Beach City College for three years. I lacked a sense of direction during my early college experience. Math is one of my strong points, although I dropped Trigonometry twice. I was fresh out of high school and got a job. I focused my energy on getting $$$ because I was worried about my image. I was young and naive, and although I still am, I now have more experience under my belt. I took Trigonometry once again during the Summer and the class didn’t go well. I did not know about the rule that states you can attempt a class three times. The only way I would be able to work around this would be to take Trigonometry at another school. My question is, can I transfer if I take Math 27 which is equivalent to Geometry. This fulfills the Plan B requirement to transfer. I did read that Calc 1 & 2 are recommended, along with Phys or Chemistry. All the rest of my general education is completed. take Trig at CSULB, pre calc, calc 1 & 2 and go on from there?
Any and all information would be helpful, I’m currently taking my Math 130 (Intermediate Algebra class) and I’m halfway through the class with a 95%.
Here’s a link as reference for the Plan B (Transfer Lbcc - CSU) http://www.lbcc.edu/Catalog/documents/Plan%20B.pdf
*Edit noticed it looks very unorganized, so I will put the important information here, Area A1: [Communication 30 : A] Area A2 : [English 1 B] Area A3: [Eng 3 B or Phill 11 C] Area B: [Geology 1 C, Bio 41 B with LAb ©, or Anthropology B] Area B4: Math {missing} *trig route at another CC? or geometry --> transfer? (pros and cons) Area C: Arts & Humanities[: Art 1 : C, Tart 25 B, Social Science 1 C] Area D: Social Science : [Economics 1 : B, Psych 1 B : Political Science 1 B] Area E: [Kinia 2 AD : A (Basketball Class)] Area US History Constitution Requirement :[ Hist 10 C] ] I really appreciate all your guy’s help.
