HELP! Regarding verifying employment on UC application

Hi guys I have a question regarding the verification of my employment more specifically my work hours on the UC app. I’m in a peculiar situation,

my job offers housing compensation and regular pays so even though I work 30 hours a week my pay doesn’t reflect the hours I worked for. My question is since I will be applying financial aid will the admission office see this as an issue?

How would I prove to them my work hours?

Thank you!!!

Your application is totally separate from financial aid. What is in your application is irrelevant to what you’ll put in FAFSA.

For your UC app, just put whatever is the truth.

@briank82 thank you for the speedy reply, would the admission office see that there’s an discrepancy between my annual income and hours worked and reject my application???

Thank you!!!

No. I think you do put your income on the application itself, but they don’t really care about that. How much you work and how much you make busy isn’t in their interests.

@briank82 so if they do ask me to provide verification a letter from the company that says that I worked there during those years would suffice?

You need to be able to verify anything on your application, but they’re not going to break down the financials of it all with a magnifying glass.

I received a request from the UCs when I applied to verify my full time employment. They sent me the request for verification in December or January. It wasn’t about my pay, it was about proving the number of hours I worked. My application said I worked FT, and they wanted proof. I submitted copies of time sheets to verify.

@2016candles Thank you for your response!
