Help required for PHD in Public Health

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I want to apply to PHD/DrPH programs in Public Health fields. I have done a one year advanced masters from swiss federal institute of technology, Zurich.</p>

<p>Does US Universities consider One Year Masters degrees for PHD Programs.</p>

<p>I am not totally sure what you are asking, but if you have a bachelors degree, you are eligible to apply for a Phd program in Public Health. People with some post graduate experience are infinitely more competitive for admissions to public health degrees.</p>

<p>Belevitt is correct. It will certainly make you a more competitive applicant, but if you were wondering if you will get credit toward a PhD for it…well…I doubt it. At least I didn’t get any credit for a 1-year masters.</p>
