I've given the SAT two times. I had got 1830 in the first attempt and 1910 in the second.
I gave about 20 practice tests before the second attempt and was scoring above 2100. I don't know what happened on the test day, I must've messed up badly.

My maths is strong, but not CR. I struggle with CR a lot.

I tried various methods but the result was still the same. First i used to read the whole paragraph before answering questions, but that took a lot of time. Then, I started reading only the marked lines, but that wasn't enough.

Even now, when I'm preparing for my third attempt, I am not able to score well in CR. Can someone suggest me the best way to tackle the CR questions?

Also, if in the third attempt, if my math score drops, will the best score out of all the attempts will be counted or the latest?

For critical reading, I’d recommend learning to speed read. I personally read the entire passage through and then answer the questions, though that ay not work for you. The only thing you can do is just keep practicing critical reading and training under harder time constraints Also, to answer your question, if your math score drops, the best score will be counted for all schools that accept a superscore.

^I strongly disagree. Read through the SAT Prep sub-forum - there’s lots of much better advice there.

Fair enough, my advice might not be very helpful for him. It might just be helpful for me.
