Help!SAT essay verification!

<p>This essay was scored 6 out of 12 by CB and I was so shocked. Last time I got 8 out of 12! I was wondering if I should ask CB to rescore my essay. But since I am applying under early decision which is due Nov.1 and this verification process usually takes about 1 to 5 weeks, it seems that it's not worth ordering it. But I know a six is horrible , will it disadvantage my application? Will they look at the essay score that I got last time ?</p>

Although most of us do not like being criticized, it is said that we can always benefit from being told what we are doing wrong. We may lose a valuable learning opportunity if we do not listen to the criticisms expressed by others. Yet criticism, even when honest and well-intended, can be more harmful than helpful. We have more to gain by ignoring or shielding ourselves from the criticisms of others.</p>

<p>" Throughout the history , criticisms are always considered as an important stimulus to one' s success and self-achievement , though they can be very harsh. Many believe that human beings can success without listening to criticisms , while I insist that it's necessary for people to listen to right criticisms but we should also stick to our own beliefs to success.</p>

<p>The great history of human reveals many examples which explain the importance of listening to criticisms. In 1929, the America showed a strong indication of economic recovery by the domestic consumer index behind the rapid economic development. People in America made blind investments , redundant constructions for the reason that the bull market set in. Merchants were deceived by the prevailing prosperity, enlarging manufacturing need and setting forward by increased capital. At that time, a economist made an astonishing prediction that there would be a huge crisis, but no one listened to him. Then, the Great Depression came which had a devastating effect on the whole nation. The crash triggered unemployment even suicides. The stocks slumped, extensively affecting the whole capital world. Had people listened to criticisms about the seemingly prosperous future, they would have survived the huge crisis.</p>

<p>Charles Schluz, an American cartoonist, whose strip Peanuts is considered as one of the most influential and popular in the history of the medium. Although Charles is a shy and timid guy, he is persist and steadfast. He never wins a ball game but continues to play baseball. He can never fly a kite successfully but continues to do so. IT is his self-defeating stubbornness and admirable perseverance in trying hid best against all odds that made him a popular figure. Although his drawings were rejected by his high school yearbook and then refused by Disney, he persevered and created the world renowned Charlie Brown and Snoopy, reflecting his own life .Had he now persevered , he would never be able to success.</p>

<p>Criticisms are of great significance to us as they can help us to find our weaknesses. However, sticking to one's own belief is also important in one's life . Listening to criticisms has its own merits and demerits and we should take all factors into account when making a decision and try to find a balance between listening to criticisms and sticking to our own beliefs.</p>
