Does Tufts run on semesters or quarters (trimesters)? And how many credits are you allowed to take without having to pay extra; also, how many is average?

Semesters. More than 4 is going to be difficult if you really like to imerse yourself in the courses, read every shred of material...maybe twice, lol.

It's funny though, I had a 3.7 my first semester where I took 5 classes and my GPA has gone progressively down in every semester since I started taking 4.

Grade deflation is a mother...

You don't have to pay to take extra, you just need advisor approval.

I've taken 5 every semester and my GPA is 3.76. Most people take four or five. Three if you're doing an honors thesis senior year.

"I've taken 5 every semester and my GPA is 3.76"

That is true. When I was taking Political Science courses I could take 5 a semester as well.

3.76, Smart Girl, man is that a turn on.

yeah, usually people take 4 or 5. I'm doing 5.5 right now, b/c that includes Chamber Singers. It's not bad at all. If you know the classes you're taking are hard, you can go for four, and if they're not too bad you can go for 5.

tufts runs on semesters. most ppl take 4 or 5, though a few ppl petition the school to take 6. Each class normally counts as 4 semester hours.

I'd say if you're taking an Art History course or any other ******** course you could do 5 or 6
