HELP!! Secondary School Report

I need to give these to my counselor as soon as humanly possible. I'm only applying to three schools.

I understand this is available "for online fill-out or download" on the Common App, but I can't find it for the life of me!

Forgive me for resorting to you guys with what is probably a very stupid question, but I'm freaking out.

It may be my current state of mind that does this for me.

please omg

I might be wrong but don’t you just assign your counselor as a reccommender online and they deal with the rest of it?

I did assign him. He’s doing everything offline, though, and he needs us to give him the school report in a manila envelope. He’ll be putting in the transcripts and anything else that is necessary.

I can’t find the school report on the website online, though.

The Vassar College website is where i got that the report is available for download on the common app.

You fill out the name and email of each of your recommenders, designating one as your counselor. Then CommonApp “invites” them by email. You need to warn them ahead of time obviously and let them know there are two links, they’re very close and look alike, but one is to click if you want to be taken to the commonapp and upload transcripts, while the other is to opt out. Many recommenders have clicked on the second link by mistake and then it’s a headache to fix since most want to upload transcripts online.

My teacher already opted out, though. I have no idea how this is supposed to work… People keep mentioning a “School Forms” section of the Common App… was I supposed to ask him for a copy…?

Remove the school counselor then to create then as offline (omit the email address).

You should see forms links next to the new entry.

If you still have problems call common app.

Have your teacher email the Help section in Common App. Because their invitation message has been so unclear, lots of teachers have opted out by mistake. If your teacher or counselor emails them to say they want to upload things for you (they must give your name) and they didn’t mean to opt out.
