Hey guys I am currently a senior in Nashville, Tennessee, and trying to narrow down my college choices into a list of priority. I want to major in economics with a minor in computer science due to the fact that technology is becoming so prevalent and in the near future it will control everything. I am also looking for the best school that will help me have the ability to get into a top graduate business program such as Harvard or Columbia. This is my list of around 10 colleges I am looking at.

1) Washington University in St. Louis
2) Boston College
3) University of Wisconsin-Madison
4) University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne
5) Ohio State University
6) University of Michigan Ann Arbor
7) Northeastern University
8) Stonehill College
9) Vanderbilt University
10) Illinois Wesleyan University
11) Swarthmore College

BUMP!!!

Please any help is welcomed…any knowledge you can bring in or any other college suggestions you think I might be interested in…please comment

Since you’re trying to narrow your list, you might be able to narrow by affordability. You have out of state publics on your list.

Will your parents pay the $40k- 50k per year for those OOS publics? If not, take them off your list.

However, if your parents will pay for wherever you go to college, then perhaps you can eliminate some schools if the chance of acceptance is too low. What are your stats?

Edited to add…

GPA: W-4.02 UW-3.8 ACT:28, unfortunately. took it again 9-10-11 hopefully 30+. But i believe that my essay and extras show that I am committed and do all things possible to succeed. I explained that there is more to me than GPA and test scores

Until you get your Sept ACT scores, it will be hard to tell. Right now, too many of your schools are high reaches.

That is a pretty impressive list. Throw in your state flagship as a safety. Not sure if it is already on there.
