Help! Should I drop?

I'm currently a freshmen and want to transfer to BU next year--I was waitlisted for this year. I'm taking 18 credits this semester and may very well end up with a C or D in Honors Chemistry. At this point, I can only take a W. Should I take the W or hope for a B and risk a bad grade? It's a 3 credit course, so I'll have 15 this semester if I do.

Yes....I'd drop, as long as you don't drop anymore classes this term or next.

Yeup...what Isleboy said. They should be more understanding since you are taking an 18 credit load.

Tough decision. I failed the first test (there are only 3 tests/grades). He said if i get a b on the next two, he'll pretend it doesn't exist. tough to tell.

Over the course of two years, what would be the most acceptable # of Ws on one's transcript? 1? 2?

NONE.

***** 10 ch

Man, op.

I would work extra hard to get the B. Use the prof's office hours and work things hard.

"NONE.

***** 10 ch"

Obviously that would be the ideal #, but when does it become something that could really be detrimental to your application and require explanations?

One is fine. Two...I dunno

a couple of W's are okay...

Well, BU will only see this one semester because I"ll be applying for next fall. That means I'll go from 18 credits to 15 credits and have a W in that one semester.

oh i see.....
