OK, with the ED deadline coming up, and SAT II scores having just come out today, I face a rather difficult dilemma. I got my scores back today, and I got a 720 on the Biology SAT II. I definitely plan on retaking this for my RD schools. I guess my question is should I retake on the November test date have my scores sent over to Columbia directly or should I just send my 720 and worry about in December? My biggest worry is that I will score lower than I did this time around. Plus, it costs a lot more to take on the November date because its past the late registration deadline. (applying to Columbia Engineering btw).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would definitely retake it and send all your scores during registration, partly because it’s free and partly because a 720 on the biology subject test is rather low. Just my humble opinion.

^■■■■■ and/or complete and utter pretentious ******.

If you think you can do significantly better (30 points+), take it. If not, don’t. Whatever you do, stop worrying about insignificant numbers, enjoy the next two months as much as possible. Just do what you want to do and you’ll end up a lot more self satisfied and happy.

@piwonkainc haha no need to make it personal. In my experience, subject tests play a pretty big role in admissions, especially at the elite level, and a 720 on Bio is like ~70th percentile. Since OP is applying to SEAS, they tend to look for pretty strong potential in math and science, just saying.

retook :). Hopefully, I got a higher score, or im screwed.
