I am a CCC transfer student applying for the fall term of 2015 and I received this message:

Specifically, according to the information you provided on your application, you have not completed the 4 basic skills courses ("Golden Four") with grades of "C" or better. At SJSU, grades of "C-" or lower are not accepted. Any course work completed after the Spring 2015 term cannot be used to meet the requirements for admission consideration.

I don't understand.
By the end of spring of 2015 I will have a little over 60 units, and the golden four courses done. So far I have completed everything except the oral communication, which I will be taking this Spring. SJSU clearly states you need to have the golden four by the end of spring 2015 which I will have. I completed English, Math, and Critical Thinking with a C or better, so why are they rejecting me? Do I need to have the oral comm done by fall 2014???

Contact them ASAP. Explain there must be an error.

All of your grades in those courses are C (not C-) or higher?

All of those courses were correctly entered on your application, and are courses which http://www.assist.org lists as satisfying those requirements?

Yes, ask them directly and name the four courses to verify whether they have them listed correctly and if they are considered courses that meet the requirements.

@brownparent @ucbalumnus Just called admissions office and they said my application said that I was going to take Oral communications in the Fall of 2015. I guess I made a mistake during the drop down window when choosing the term and put Fall instead of spring! geez. Now I need to appeal

How do I submit planned courses for my appeal? Screenshot and attach?

Do you guys think all my csu applications will have this issue and would need to appeal for each school?
