Hey CC! You've probably seen millions of these threads but I need some help.

I'm a pretty above average student.
3.7 GPA
Competitive College prep HS
OK SATs, could be better (taking them again in Oct)
Diverse extra-curriculars and etc.

I'm trying to compile my college list and I have about 6 major names including Villanova, Temple, Howard U, Carnegie Mellon, Rutgers U, and Princeton as a major reach (many family members have attended)

However, I'm not from middle class area and my family isn't that wealthy. My guidance counselor is trying to get me to look into some smaller, financially generous colleges. I want to major in computer engineering, but don't want to be confined to a tech school because it's not 100%

So my major concern is just looking for smaller colleges in the Eastern area that are diverse and can fit the criteria. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!

BTW, I've taken a look at ctcl.org already and it's helping a bit.
