<p>I'm a sophomore and I quite worried about my GPA right now because my 10th grade first term did not come out that expectingly. It sounds very early to be concerned about college applications but I really really want to enter a few college that have relatively-high requirements(ex: nyu, john hopkins etc) Btw I am an international student (born and raised in the us) and count as one when applying for colleges, for some reason.</p>
<p>My school's GPA is calculated as 4.3</p>
<p>Freshman year GPA:
First semester: 4.19
Second semester: 4.10</p>
<p>Sophomore year GPA:
First Semester: 3.95 - 3.98 (not confirmed but estimated and definitely in this range)</p>
<p>My GPA is getting lower and lower each semester and I'm extremely worried. And my SAT scores won't really compensate for it. I am able to try harder next semester though and hopefully reach more than 4.10</p>
<p>Do colleges look at your freshman and sophomore GPAs? Does it matter if I have lower than 4.0 this semester, but get a higher GPA next semester? </p>
