Hi y'all
In desperate need of help right now. I keep looking around about the NCAA rules and they make absolutely NO sense. I was wondering if someone, anyone could help me understand about contact periods and talking with coaches.
THanks

My understanding is that:

there is never any restriction on a player contacting a coach, only the other way around (i.e., coaches can’t contact players)

Permissible contact is completely sport and division dependent. Also,

Form of contact is pertinent. Email, regular mail, phone calls, FB, texting, and

I’ve been made to understand that there are ways coaches and players use to get around all the rules as fast as the NCAA can come up with them.

Look up your kid’s sport, men or women, and look at those specific rules and see if you can make some sense of them when you limit them to just those parameters. Also I agree with you! It’s confusing.

This is for me, I am said S… It is difficult mostly because I thought that they could start contacting us after july 1 but Im guessing now that is not the case I hate how many rules there are.

It’s OK, what’s your sport and what year are you?

I am a competitive bowler and I will be a senior this year, it falls under all sports. (You have to shamelessly promote yourself XD )

Brutal!!!
