For transfer applicants, a course may be repeated if the student received a grade of D or F. UC does not limit the number of times a transfer student may repeat a course in which he or she earned a D or F. A student may not retake a course at a community college to raise a grade received at a UC campus. UC courses in which a D or F was received may be repeated only at a UC campus

As for the classes for which there is no equivalent, my guess is you’ll just have to live with that. But since you won’t need those specific classes in order to satisfy IGETC or other requirements for xfer admission, my guess is it doesn’t matter.</p>

<p>I suggest that you schedule a meeting with one of the xfer counselors at your school who should be well versed in what you need to do to xfer to a UC campus. In particular, look into the TAG programs which will guarantee admission at your choice of 7 UC campuses.</p>
