Hello,
I am going to be a senior next year and was recently accepted to a study abroad summer program in Spain. It would take up most of my summer, so I would not have the opportunity to do anything else.
My other option would be not to go, and to find things to do in my hometown. I live in a college town, so I could intern with a lab/professor, get a job, etc.
I am really struggling because I am thinking about applying to some pretty selective schools. While I know neither of these things would “make or break” my application, which would would overall make a better impression? To give some background, my resume definitely has some language focuses, so I suppose that the study abroad program would build on that. However, I am uncertain that I want to use my summer on that program.
I would really appreciate any help (esp. from personal knowledge/experience)!
