Ok, so I tried to make it out of my senior year of high school without completely breaking my laptop, but no luck. I have no idea what kind of laptop is good for college, so I need help please :). I need to buy one ASAP so that I have one for the end of my senior year.

Computer...:
-Price... under about $1500 as long as I can make monthly payments.
-Run fast. I don't need it to do a ton of multitasking, just handle lots of small projects at once.
-Not a big gamer, most I play is like Sims or something...
-Needs to have a long-lasting battery. I have a tendency to kill my batteries.
-Must be durable. I am rough on my laptops, I'll be honest.
-Built-in camera would be nice, but not a necessity.

I will be in a dorm next year and will be carrying my laptop with me from dorm to class, etc. Hopefully will take notes with it, but I am not sure. I only have one large lecture class because of my major (arts and humanities) and therefore may just take notes on paper...

Yeah, I'm pretty much clueless. I'm the first to admit that.
Any advice on what laptop to buy is much appreciated!
