I want to do my major in Engineering (Computer Science, Biotech) I want to go to UCSD.

My councilor told me that 3rd year of Spanish is recommended but not required but if you take 3rd year of Spanish it will look good on your transcript.

Should I take 3rd year of Spanish or another Science class or Computer Science class

I took 2 years of Spanish
PreAP Bio
PreAP Chem
Intermediate Chem and Physics
Next Year taking Adv. Physics

Thanks for your Help!!!

I would try to take a math/CS course

if i were you i would take as many math, science, and cs courses as possible in the AP level, most importantly AP Ccomputer science and ap biology

I only took 2 years of spanish and I got into Berkeley Engineering. I took a lot of science/math and a CS course at a CSU. I think taking that 3rd year of spansish may have helped me out in getting into some of the privates I applied to (waitlisted at Cornell) although if you want to get into UCSD then your fine with 2 years of spanish as long as you make it up with something else.

Why not both? The science will give you further preparation, but the extra Spanish helps you to be more well-rounded as well as giving the appearance to engineering schools that you're more than just another math/sci/CS geek.
