Help the token aussie

Hey guys, I’m an Australian guy looking to come to UCLA in a years time on exchange. If you guys could give me some info on the best housing options (on campus), what it’s really like for internationals, UCLA’s rep, the psychology major and any other information they don’t tell you in the glossy brochures that would be tops.
Cheers

I dont know how much i will help, im going into my second year but for housing stay away from sproul or sunset village; sproul is from like WWII and sunset villageis like a rundown motel 6. Try for De Neve or rieber vista or the new one don't know what its called. From my year their i saw and met some foreigners, they're accepted and you're right in westwood so theres alot of diversity. The Rep is...well 3rd best in California, honestly talking to people from the eastcoast like my relatives and friends UCLA isn't respected as much as their regional schools like Boston College or Notre Dame, even though they are better ranked, but thats all relative, if youre going to live in CA its respected. Psych program is good, I think USNEWS ranked UCLA #1 for clinical psychology in grad. But again thats grad. Undergrad lots of opportunities, the campus is really laid back, its not glitsy people where pajamas to school, but then again there are people who dress up to go to lecture, once again its eclectic, sports are going up so thats good. Overall UCLA is a good school, well respected, but definitely not in the "elite" stanford, yale, harvard but then again those kids are nerds
