Help the waitlisters out!

Look Mark I don't think I am the best thing to ever walk the earth but I am most likely going to be at the National Selection Camp this summer. And the fact is that right now it is Brown or basically quit rowing at a high level. I am just really stressed out because I am stretched thin between rowing and my academics and what to choose. And the coaches have never said anything to me referencing not wanting me, they are just extremely difficult to track down.

I just want to bow out of the conversation and not have anyone go on and on about how I suck and no one likes me.

no! dont leave! everyone is stressed right now, especially those posting on this thread, so let's just all ignore the negative things said and be happy!:)

A letter addressed to Alice Cooper came to our house yesterday . . .
how random is that?
This should be an awkward meeting . . .
"Hi, um, Mr. Cooper. Your letter came to our house yesterday. I don't know why, because our addresses are completely different, but, uhh, here you go."
lol.
"have a nice Sunday"

ermmmmmm, i dont get it....??????

completely random post . . .
but
Alice Cooper --> old weirdo rock star . . . lots of stage antics . . . mid 70s

oh, that's why i didnt understand... explains it all.

i like random posts...

so do you guy live in the same neighborhood or same city or what?

I remember alice cooper from Wayne's World 2. Those were the days...

WWII - funny how acronyms can get mixed up, huh?

I had NO idea he even lived in this state . . . but I mapquested his house and I guess it's 2 mins away. lol.
kind of anticlimatic though . . . I decided to be nice and just put it back into our mailbox and let the mailman take care of it. Hopefully he'll get it, it had 4 really awesome ( & big) stamps from Berlin. I thought it was really cool. lol. I have absolutely nothing to do today just in case you guys didn't notice :)

hey, they put it in YOUR mailbox... i wouldve kept it and sold it on ebay. lol jk

Even if they put it in your mailbox it is a federal offense. Although the tempation would be pretty high. How do you know it is the same Alice Cooper? It could just be some weird woman with some friend visiting Germany.

if you want, look on imdb.com
He's lived in my town for a helluva long time now.
. . . IF you decided to open the letter, there's no way in hell anyone would find out it was you (as long as you didn't give him the letter AFTER you opened it)
I don't know about you, but once in a while it feels pretty good to commit federal offense. And, now that I think about it, it's been close to a year since my last one. There's time yet before the post-man comes!

OH GUYS btw go to www.yalesucks.org or www.harvardsucks.org . . . they both go to the same website.
just trust me.
watch the video that's on the homepage. It is literally the funniest thing I've seen in a long, long time.

later

by the way guys, sorry for turning this thread into a completely off-topic and random mess, but, at the present time, there's really not too much to post re this topic. No?

no you are not

no, not really. Just a little. I mean, you wouldn't be losing sleep over it either, would you?
I'm actually kind of waiting for someone to post something about helping the waitlisters out, because that would be super-exciting. Anyone have any news?

ummm how about this for good news

one of my friends who got into brown wont be going and another one who was on the waitlist isnt gonna stay on.

All Right!!
2 down, x thousand to go.
Hey, every single one counts!

how many are put on the initial wait list? the 500 number describes the amount of people who decide to stay active on the wait list, right?

yup. as far as I know.
BTW kudos to you guys - while I got deferred ED, I got rejected RD at UPS.
that's ok though; at least i know where I'll be next year. w/e.
night.

Hey Brownsurfer, I think last year there was about 700 waitlisters and some 500 decided to stay active on the waitlist. Best luck to all~!!

well i made it to the top percent of 20 thousand some applicants... maybe i can make it in the top 500 waitlisters... my luck, they will keep me on the waitlist for next year (ok guys, i'm joking about that. no one try to correct me!).

btw, i think all CC wailisters should form an aliance or whatever its called and demand to be accepted! hehe
