HELP THIS CHILD - FINAL STAGE - THE DECISION .

Hey guys… I am back with an another annoyin post … so please bear and Help me decide

I AM AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

My major is Accounting and I have to decide between 2 schools. I didnt realize it will be this tough haha

The 2 schools I have short listed is :

San Diego State University and

Penn State University ( 2 years in ALTOONA and 2 years in UP ).

Cost , Temperature , where I will work after graduation doesnt affect me .

Even though I know Penn state is higher ranked than SDSU but the 2 years in altoona makes me consider it again.
Plus getting a " college " experience will be missed for 2 years rather than enjoyin in SDSU for 4 years.

Yes I know college is for studying but have to take social life too in mind.

Anyone out there please help this child.

Thanks in advance

Seems like you have already made your decision and want SDSU. If cost isn’t a factor, choose the school you really want to go to.

Sdsu
Four years in San Diego beats your alternative

UPDATE : Just got denied for DUS + Summer @ UP . So nows its either altoona and UP(2+2) or SDSU

Agreed, it sounds like you want to go to SDSU go go there.

anymore suggestions anyone

@NorthernMom61 I wanna go in both …coz both are good in their fields. lmao

Since cost doesn’t seem to be a factor, SDSU seems to be a better choice simply due to the fact that you will go to the same campus for all four years. There’s a lot to learn coming to the US to live and go to school. One less move in the four year process will likely reduce one stressor in the process.

I agree with @NorthernMom61

@NorthernMom61 but isnt penn state degree be valued more than SDSU ?

SDSU

Setting yourself up for the greatest likelihood of success and actually finishing the degree will be the most valuable to you in the long run. It just sounds like SDSU is where you want to go. Your happiness with your school is a factor that increases your odds of success. Both are respected institutions. Once you start college, you won’t give a hoot about the rankings.

Ultimately, it’s what you do with what you have. Penn State’s name will mean very little if you don’t do well.

Flip a coin: are you excited or disapointed with the side of the coin you got?

After alot of consideration… I have been thinking…not yet sure…bout Penn state altoona + Uni park (2+2) .Like its only 2 years…and for weekends I am sure I’ll be going to the main campus and after that I will be at UP for the course. My major doesnt start until junior year … therefore I will be taking my acounting classes in UP ! and afterall I will graduate with a Penn State degree which is better than a SDSU one. How long can 2 years be ( I know its long :stuck_out_tongue: haha
) If anyone else have more opinions/suggestions …please do comment  Thank you all
