Help to choose, UCD vs SDSU

Please help!

Psychology major (planning to go to graduate school)
UCD (35 K) vs SDSU (8k- SD local)

Just admitted SDSU- pre Psychology and waiting for UC decision.
If I get in UCD,
should I pick SDSU based on finance?
I have not visit UCD. Does anyone have insights to share?

Thank you.

Are u living at home for sdsu ?

Do u want to live home ?

If going to grad school go cheaper.

But if you can move away to school it’s a growth opportunity.

Not sure why you are posting now since you have not been admitted to UC Davis so kinda of putting the cart before the horse. You do not have to SIR to SDSU until May 1, so you have plenty of time to visit UCD before you make a final decision.

What is your budget? Would you have to take out student loans to attend UCD vs. SDSU for Undergrad? If you plan to go to Grad school, you should budget for 6 years instead of 4 years.

In the meantime have you looked at the Psychology curriculum for each school and would one school’s course offerings be more of interest vs. another.

Are you interested in doing Research at either school? Have you looked into the type of research opportunities that are offered?

Locations for both schools are polar opposites: Beach city vs. more rural small town (although access to a larger city, Sacramento).

I had one son attend UCD and another at SDSU. Neither would have preferred their brothers choice of school for many reasons but only you can make that choice if and when you get all your decisions.

Agree.
I love both schools but before you start packing there are certain issues you need to be aware of with both schools.

Davis is on the quarter system. Students who are unfamiliar with the pace of the quarter system often struggle if they aren’t prepared for the speed and the increased load of information.

SDSU is on the semester system, but that doesn’t mean the workload is any better or easier.

If you are on a limited budget, living away from home will be a financial issue. Davis is right smack dab in the middle of farmland. You can take a train into Berkeley or Sacramento, but all of that travel will cost dollars.

Also, your previous posts tend to need some grammar checks and proofreading. Your grammar skills will adversely affect and impact your grades in classes.

all 3 are very good, see where you get in and then do the research and make the decision.
