Help>>TOEFL Waiver for intl applicants

Hey,
It seems that WUSTL absolutely requires the TOEFL. I had an A in O'level English, 730 SAT CR and 800 Writing. I belong to a country where English is the official language and I have studied all my life in a school where English is the primary medium of instruction. Is there any way the TOEFL requirement can be waived or is it absolutely required? Has anyone been given a TOEFL waiver before?
Please help!! =)

I think its required and I really really doubt washu will give you a waiver youll have to take that up with the tesing agency.

if your first language is english, or English is the primary medium of instruction, I think you are not considered a foreign language speaker, therefore, there's no need to take toefl ibt.

Its not my first language but yes the primary medium of instruction at my school..and the official language of my country.

yes it is waived for me. I am a Immigrant and English is not my mother tongue, but i have lived in the US for more than five years. I emailed them and they told me that it is not require to submit TOEFL.

Just show them your SAT score and they won't care.

I emailed them but they haven't replied yet..thnkuuuuu guys!! =)

I'm from Pakistan by da way and my first language is Urdu..

I am sure that with your SAT scores you don't need TOEFL.

just e mail them
they are excellent with responding.

yep, they are good dealing with responses.

Thanks guys =)
I got a mail from them, a sort of confirmation mail, saying that my application is complete and has been sent to the admissions committee for review. Does that mean I have been waived the TOEFL? The mail was NOT in reply to any email i sent the admissions committee.
Thanks for all the help =)

Is it just WUSTL or does every college waive it if you can speak the language with a near native fluency?

I've been living in America for 5 years and my level of instruction back in India was in English too...

Most schools waive it if you meet certain conditions..and those you need to check from the school!

Thanks free :)
