HELP!! Transfer admission decision: "Pending/additional info"

Hi!!
I applied to Purdue engineering as a spring transfer and when I checked my application status online today, the decision says: "Pending/Additional Info" and they are requesting that I send in my first semester grades once the courses have been completed.

I am currently a freshman in college, currently completing my FIRST SEMESTER of college work and I applied as a SPRING TRANSFER to the engineering school.

What do I make of this decision?? Is this good? bad? meaningless?
Has anyone else been through this?? Please help me out and thanks!!

i would assume that it means that they want to check on you to make sure that you’re doing well in your college classes. my guess is they ask all of their applicants for updates, so don’t read too much into it and focus on your work.

You’re allowed to transfer after only one semester?

Yeah… It’s probably nothing. I wonder when they’ll get back to me though because it’ll still be 3-4 weeks 'till my profs enter my grades

jeez haha I really don’t know what to make of this and I’m pretty restless about it.
I can’t even find anyone that has been through the same thing
Anyone have any ideas??

The elephant in the room is: What are your grades this semester?

No need to worry if you’re keeping up with your classes; are you getting anything below a B?

my grades are fine for the semester. My GPA should be above a 3.8
hopefully that will be enough. My grades are the reason I’m cautiously optimistic

I think you will be fine with a 3.8 ;)

You’re fine, enjoy the acceptance!

Thank you both for your replies!
I was just wondering if this was some form of deferral. Is it possible for freshman mid-year transfers to get accepted just based on their high school record?
